Without a scroll housing, the wheel discharges radially into a surrounding plenum box or enclosure — allowing air to be drawn from multiple directions and delivered to multiple outlets without dictating duct orientation.
Cincinnati Fan offers two plenum fan platforms: the Model PL for industrial and high-static-pressure applications, and the new Model PLF engineered for commercial air handling where motor efficiency, acoustic performance, and fan array configurations are the primary design variables.
