Features

  • Cast aluminum centrifugal blower housings and wheels are natural for designers and manufacturers.
  • AMCA Type B spark resistance is standard. AMCA Type A is also easily available.
  • Self-cleaning radial wheels.
  • Eight housing sizes, multiple inlet and wheel sizes allow an easy selection of direct driven blowers with eighty-seven lines of direct drive performance ratings.
  • Round inlets and discharges easily connect to standard pipe or duct sizes with slip connections or flanges. This also allows for easy flexible hose connections.
  • Arrangement 8 units come standard with shaft/coupling guards.
  • Arrangement 9 units come standard with belt guards.

Benefits

  • Spark Resistant: Model PB Pressure Blowers are AMCA Type B spark resistant. With the addition of an aluminum shaft collar and brass hardware, they will meet AMCA Type A spark resistant requirements. Standard features are much less expensive than the competition.
  • Easy Pipe or Duct Connections: All Model PB Pressure Blowers have round inlets and discharges, so a connection to a pipe or duct is easily made with slip connections or flanges. Does not require special square-to-round transitions.
  • Attractive: Cast aluminum’s natural appearance adds to the aesthetics of the equipment it is mounted on. Provides a rugged appearance and it can be brushed, buffed, or colored by anodizing. It also has excellent paint adhesion. Superior esthetics for OEM designers at no extra cost.
  • Corrosion Free: No painting is required for a maintenance-free moist environment. It will not rust.
  • Non-Toxic: Aluminum is “friendly” to foods, beverages and medicines. Model PB Pressure Blowers are used in many food processing applications where cleanliness is critical and equipment washdowns are a daily occurrence. Less expensive than stainless steel.
  • Non-Magnetic: Cast aluminum resists magnetism even in magnetic fields making it ideal in electronic applications where preventing interference is extremely important. No magnetic isolation is required.
  • Not Affected by Cold: Unlike many materials that become brittle when super cold, aluminum alloys become stronger. That makes Model PB Pressure Blowers ideal for temperatures below 0° F. It can be installed outdoors.
  • Strong: Aluminum’s strength is exhibited in products such as guard rails, truck trailers, and baseball bats. In high-speed blower wheels, aluminum is alloyed with magnesium, titanium, or other alloys for even greater strength. Provides very long service life in demanding applications.
  • Workable: Aluminum can be machined by almost every metal working process. Makes future modifications easier.
