Model SQAF: Airfoil Square Fan

Cincinnati Fan manufactures 10 sizes of the Model SQAF Airfoil Square Fan in AMCA Class I, II, and III construction. The Model SQAF is an excellent choice for the delivery of high air volumes at maximum efficiency.

All models are available with two wheel designs and in multiple widths from 50% to 100%, to deliver the exact performance you need with a direct driven fan. Belt driven arrangements are also available.

This fan is available in AMCA C spark resistant construction.

PERFORMANCE RANGE:

• Capacities up to 27,985 CFM and 17″ SPWG
• Standard construction, airstream temperatures up to 200°F (93°C)
• Optional high-temperature construction, temperatures up to 750°F (398°C)

FOR HIGHER CAPACITIES:

Features

  • All models available with multiple width housing, two airfoil wheel types and wheel widths from 50% to 100%, in 5% increments, to deliver the performance you need with a direct driven blower.
  • Continuous welded housings, instead of lock seams, eliminate air leakage.
  • Heavy gauge steel bases, with internal bracing, maximize rigidity and assure long equipment life.
  • Four discharge positions and two rotations available.
  • Available with AMCA Type C spark resistant construction. For AMCA Types A and B, see Model SQBI Backward Inclined Blowers.
  • Removable inlet & drive side plates allow for removal of blower wheel or motor, or shaft and bearings on belt driven model, without disconnecting inlet or discharge connections.
  • All fans receive a mechanical run test to ensure proper balance and alignment before shipping.
  • Belt driven model includes heavy-duty, grease lubricated, self-aligning, cast iron, pillow block bearings selected for optimal performance.
  • Fan shaft on belt driven model is turned, ground, and polished and receives a high-quality rust preventative coating before shipment.
  • Arrangement 9 comes standard with a belt guard and two support legs for shipping and mounting support.

Benefits

  • Increased Efficiency: Airfoil wheels provide the highest efficiency of all centrifugal fan designs. The static efficiency of an airfoil wheel versus a backward inclined wheel can easily exceed 10%. This benefit results in lower brake horsepower consumption and a reduction in sound levels of 2-6 dBA. Less expensive to operate and quieter.
  • Multiple Wheel Selections: Each size and class is available with two airfoil wheel types and multiple widths from 50% to 100%, in 5% increments, to deliver the exact performance you need with a direct driven blower. Complete design flexibility.
  • Rugged Construction: Housings are heavy gauge steel and are continuously welded to prevent leakage. Fan bases are 7 and 10-gauge steel with internal bracing to prevent pulsation at all conditions. Less field problems.
  • Ease of Maintenance: Replacing a wheel motor, or shaft and bearings on belt driven models, is easily accomplished without disturbing the inlet and/or discharge connections. Minimizes extended downtime.
  • Quality Components: Belt driven model has self-aligning, cast iron, grease lubricated, pillow block bearings sized for a minimum 150,000 hours average life. The fan shaft is turned, ground, and polished and is coated with high-quality rust preventative before shipment. Long dependable service.
