Model BAF, TAF, WAF, WAF/HTF, HTF, DDF, DDF2.0: Tube Axial Duct Fan

Cincinnati Fan manufactures Tube Axial Duct Fans in seven different models, belt drive and direct drive, with spark resistant cast aluminum propellers, steel propellers, and stainless steel propellers. Fans entirely of stainless steel are also available.

The spark resistant cast aluminum propeller is often a standard requirement for paint spray booth exhaust applications as well as other exhaust applications.

These fans are available in AMCA B spark resistant construction.

PERFORMANCE RANGE:

• Capacities up to 44,500 CFM and 10″ SPWG
• Standard construction, airstream temperatures up to 175°F (79°C)
• Optional high-temperature construction, temperatures up to 375°F (190°C)

Features

  • Spark resistant, cast aluminum propellers or heavy-duty steel propellers. Stainless steel propellers are also available.
  • All propellers are statically balanced to ensure smooth operation.
  • Drum flanges are rolled as an integral part of the drum on sizes 12″ to 42″. Drum flanges on 48″ fans are 1-1/2″ angle iron rings welded to the drum. Drum seam is continuously welded.
  • All sizes 12″ to 30″ have 12-gauge drums and all sizes 34″ to 4″ have 10-gauge drums.
  • Flange mounting holes are punched in one step to maintain a constant bolt circle.
  • Before painting, all steel parts are cleaned by detergent wash and phosphatized. Then, they are painted with gray enamel and oven-cured. Available in all aluminum or all stainless steel construction.

Direct Driven Model

Model DDF

  • Model DDF is direct driven with the motor in the airstream.
  • Maximum standard air stream temperature is 104°F (40°C) with clean, dry air stream.
  • Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) motors are standard but explosion-proof motors are also available.

Belt Driven Models

Models BAF, TAF, WAF, HTF & WAF/HTF

  • Heavy-duty motor base has four-point adjustment for proper belt tension and sheave alignment.
  • Fan shafts are turned, ground, and polished steel (or stainless steel).
  • V-belt drives are selected for a minimum of 1.3 times the nominal horsepower.
Model BAF

  • Model BAF is for clean, dry air not exceeding 175°F (80°C).
  • Two sealed ball bearings are in cast aluminum housing with grease reservoir.
Model TAF

  • Model TAF is for clean, dry air not exceeding 200°F (93°C).
  • Features heavy duty, independent, cast iron, pillow block, ball bearings with external grease fittings.
  • Has a galvanized steel bearing cover.
  • Airfoil (teardrop) belt tube minimizes turbulence and improves efficiency.
Model WAF

  • Model WAF is excellent for moisture laden or other airstream contaminants not exceeding 200°F (93°C).
  • Features heavy duty, independent, cast iron, pillow block, ball bearings with external grease fittings.
  • Has galvanized steel bearing cover that is gasketed and sealed. The moisture displacement collar (not shown) on the front of the bearing cover is sealed with silicone.
  • Airfoil (teardrop) belt tube minimizes turbulence and improves efficiency.
Model HTF

  • Model HTF is for high temperature, dry air from 201°F (94°C) to 375°F (191°C).
  • Features heavy duty, independent, cast iron, pillow block, ball bearings with high-temperature grease and external grease fittings.
  • Has galvanized steel insulated bearing cover with a large hole around the shaft to induce ambient air through an insulated belt tube to cool bearings.
  • Airfoil (teardrop) belt tube minimizes turbulence and improves efficiency.
  • Model WAF/HTF is for moisture laden, high-temperature air from 201°F (94°C) to 375°F (191°C). Same as Model HTF except with a moisture displacement collar and front seal plate from Model WAF.
