Welder-Experienced-First Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Cincinnati Fan, located in Mason, OH, is in need of a first shift wheel welder for our welding team. We need an experienced mig welder to fabricate and finish weld our large industrial fans on aluminum, steel and other metals. First shift hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. We offer overtime during our busy season. Cincinnati Fan offers a competitive salary, PTO time at hiring date, and a 401(k) plan and profit sharing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Select, move to the assigned work area, and handle all materials and parts related to item/product being welded.
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches to gather, stage and assemble products and related items.
  • Once trained, completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Move completed product to appropriate next work station/process.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, machines or other devised used in the normal course of the work performed.
  • Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions and operating difficulties. Keep required time and/or production records.
  • Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow and adhere to prescribed safety regulations and procedures.
  • Desire to do the right thing for our customers.
  • May assist in training of new or transferred employee.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS NEEDED

Education/Experience:
High School graduation or equivalent. Must have mechanical aptitude. Three to six months of experience in a production/welding position.

Communication Skills/Requirements:
Able to communicate verbally and/or in writing as to work requirements, work in progress, and or work completion.
Communicates verbally and/or in writing with other workers, members of supervision and others as necessary.

Mathematical Ability:
Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages.

Reasoning Ability:
Able to follow moderately complex instructions and/or directions. May require ability to decide on a course/sequence of action.
Must have continuous visual and mental attention during the operation of equipment and/or machines.

Licenses/Certifications:
None (may be required to obtain forklift license and overhead crane operation).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, but also walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear instructions. The employee is frequently required to use hands to use tools and assemble objects. Employee will regularly lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Cincinnati Fan wants you to be safe on the job. Steel or composite toe boots are required. We provide safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and other PPE as needed. You will be exposed to vibration, loud noise and dust. The employee may work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

SALARY RANGE

Competitive pay with a wage progression plan is in place to reward skill improvements.
